Michael Jackson

Nicknamed The King of Pop, singer/songwriter Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958. Seventh of a family of nine children, he started singing very early. In fact, his professional career began at the age of 11 with the Jackson Five, whose famous titles ABC, I'll Be There and I Want You Back are well known. At the same time, he embarked on a solo career when he was 13 and released his first album, Got to Be There a year later. In the meantime, he released his second album, Ben, whose eponymous song earned him a golden Globe for the best original song. The next two albums were not as successful and it wasn’t until 1979 with his album Off the Wall that he enjoyed worldwide success with such tracks as Rock with You or Don't Stop' Til You Get Enough. In 1982, the album Thriller, a must-have album that sold 25 million copies in two years, brought Michael Jackson into the Guinness Book of Records. It was the time of Billie Jean, Beat It and, of course, Thriller. In 1987, he went on his first solo world tour with the album Bad. Then followed Dangerous, HIStory (find the piano score You are Not Alone, the main track on this album) and Invincible. In parallel, he released compilations and boxes whose success remains as important as ever. On June 25, 2009, fans of Michael Jackson were shocked to learn of his death.
